When your computer falls to the ground, all good intentions, often do, too.
With the crash came the loss of all files. Those files that I had been thinking about saving to an external hard drive for weeks. Darn you procrastination! Why must you always get the best of me?
Thankfully, though, I am a lazy bum and had yet to delete any of the honeymoon pictures off of my memory card. My solution? Why, buy a new one! God bless Sam's Club and his delicious prices. I could just eat you up!
I do vow, though, to begin a new month of photos, hopefully in April. Or perhaps sooner. Maybe on day 1 of Spring Break (March 26th). It can't get here soon enough.
Until then, peace.

Since I haven't lived in the city in four years, I decided it was time for an update.

Candy
This is Candy.

Candy and I are slightly obsessed with one another. Though she lives with my parents, when I'm in town, she basically ignores them, unless it is time for food or treats. Today, she ran all the way upstairs to do her little "I gots to pee" dance. My little brainchild had to walk past mom, dad, and the front door to get to the stairs.
But, I wouldn't trade moments like these for the world. Unconditional love is the greatest love.

All I want for Christmas is...
to be well.
And I'm not even talking about a cure for my MG (though that would be awesome!). I just want my stupid, no good, holy hell it has never hurt this bad before, back for the fourth time since September, double ear and sinus infection to go the freak away!
I flew home on Sunday. By Sunday night, I contemplated going to the ER, I was in such pain. I seriously thought my head was going to explode.
The following afternoon I trekked it over to the acute care clinic here on the Island. The doc takes one look in my right ear and says, "It is a really good thing you came in when you did." My timing has always been impeccable.
So here I am, on my 4th round of antibiotics in three months. I am calling my ENT in Chicago first thing in the morning. I can't take much more of this!!

Pay it Forward
Today, when the man in front of me at the self-checker-outer at the grocery store forgot to get his cash, I ran to give it to him. It was just the right thing to do, but what I didn't expect was to return to the store to applause from a store employee! It was SO funny (and yet, slightly embarrassing since the store was packed)!

forty times
Today's high of 40 is FORTY TIMES warmer than Monday's low of one.
The high for Monday isn't much better at a whopping nine degrees. Even for Chicago, this is unseasonably cold.
